The daughter lodge of Portland Lodge 1037 and grand daughter of All Souls Lodge 107, it was consecrated in 1910, its Primus Master was Bro Albert Harry Wales, a Master Gunner of the Royal Garrison Artillery. Founding members included a Lieutenant of the 1st Somerset Light Infantry, 24 serving or retired Army SNCOs, 5 Royal Navy Chief Engine Room Artificers, a Second Officer and a Chief Engineer of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, a retired Royal Navy Steward and a Master Mariner of the Merchant Navy. Nowadays they even let members of the Royal Air Force in. 😉
The Lodge meets on the 3rd Monday from September to June with its installation meeting in November at the Masonic Centre in Portland.
